where is that noise coming from?
my new friend, the bird
for several days i have been woken up and annoyed by this constant knocking. the people who live above me are crazy loud so i thought it was just them… but it seemed so much closer this time and got louder and louder. i then realized it was coming from my wall. i went outside and had to check it out. there has always been a hole under my window (cops once thought it was a bullet hole… yea that’s another story) but i guess a bird has been living in there and is just digging deeper. seriously i thought he would bust through my wall any moment.

yup, i should have been studying but how can you study when it’s election day?? just fyi, i studied international studies with an emphasis in political studies in college so i love government and all that surrounds it! so when the big day comes every 2-4 years you bet i am excited. this time there was a party and here’s the map we colored in as the night progressed!
if you haven’t guessed it by now, i was for obama. it was great to see him win and watch the map turn a little more blue.

i was having some people over for election day, so what better to make for dessert than some red velvet cupcakes (w/ white frosting, red & blue sprinkles and little flag toothpicks coming out!). i was just amazed at how red the batter was! here’s a picture of it 
(if you ate a cupcake no worries, this was after they all had been put in the oven so you didn’t eat any of the batter that was all over my hands)

my apologies for not posting any pictures this week. i am locked up and studying like crazy for the GRE. so don’t expect any pictures from me until nov 7th.

after spending hours upon hours at the library looking down towards a book my neck decided it was done with that and my entire back was in horrible pain. so here’s my desk the next day… my bed, so i can look up and lay on my heating pad

one thing i enjoyed about my office when i started was that it didn’t seem like an office, it was all good lighting and welcoming it lacked the normal office feel… well of course it made my day when they made the florescent lights permanent… what’s next?

went to happy hour with some amazing ladies from work. these girls keep me sane and make horrible days (such as today) tolerable. i have no idea what i would do with out them.
